Personalised Academic
Support

It is natural that some children find certain subjects more tricky. Others may find some lessons too straightforward and need to be stretched academically.  In both instances individual tuition can be hugely valuable, restoring enjoyment and confidence to the learning process - leading to better understanding and higher grades.

The benefits of one-to-one tuition

The value of one-to-one tuition can be enormously positive: issues can be pinpointed, gaps in knowledge plugged, learning extended and understanding enhanced through targeted, bespoke support.  Such individual attention can be almost impossible to provide in a traditional classroom setting, and its value should not be underestimated.

As well as subject-specific support I have also helped more in a more general sense with academic preparation, helping pupils to develop good study techniques and overseeing individual revision programmes. I have worked as a mentor up to GCSE level, monitoring and supporting academic progress across the spectrum. This includes devising and overseeing personalised study programmes whilst offering attention, guidance and encouragement to ensure that students fulfil their potential. This provides a level of personalised, individual support that would not otherwise be possible.
